Koshiji Koi Farm is a long-established and well-known breeder located in Iwada, Nagaoka in Niigata Prefecture. The farm has earned a reputation for producing a wide range of high-quality varieties and for maintaining a large number of mud ponds that allow for strong growth and color development. Koshiji is often recognized for the colorful and diverse selection of koi that come from its harvest each year.

Specialization

Koshiji Koi Farm produces a broad spectrum of varieties. Among the most recognized are Doitsu Goshiki, Ginga, and Beni Kumonryu, all of which have become closely associated with the farm’s name. They also raise more traditional varieties such as Showa and Kohaku while continuing to refine several metallic and Doitsu bloodlines.
