Teradomari Koi Farm
Teradomari Koi Farm (officially Teradomari Koi Farm) is a distinguished koi breeding operation located in Teradomari, Nagaoka City, Niigata Prefecture, Japan. It is owned and operated by Kiichi Hoshino, who founded the farm after working for Hoshikin Koi Farm and marrying into the Hoshino family.
Specialization

Teradomari Koi Farm is particularly celebrated for its pioneering work in Ginrin Kohaku — often referred to as “Teradomari‑ginrin.” Hoshino-san developed a bloodline combining Tomoin (Hoshikin) and Sensuke (Matsue) genetics, producing large-growing Kohaku (exceeding 80 cm) with exceptionally brilliant, long-lasting ginrin scales. The farm also breeds Ginrin Showa, along with traditional-scaled Kohaku and Showa, all developed with a focus on strong body conformation, vivid color, and long-term development.
