Dosage Instructions:
For Light Sedation (Routine Handling or Health Checks):
Dosage: Use 2 ml per gallon of water.
Procedure: Mix thoroughly into water that matches the temperature of your koi’s pond or holding tank.
The koi should begin to show signs of sedation (loss of equilibrium) within 2 - 5 minutes. Once the procedure is complete, transfer the koi to fresh, well-aerated water.
For Deep Sedation (Minor Surgical Procedures):
Dosage: 2 ml - 4 ml per gallon of water.
Procedure: Follow the same mixing instructions as above, but use a slightly higher dosage for deeper sedation.
Koi will lose all ability to right themselves and will be in a deep, controlled state of anesthesia. Once the procedure is complete, transfer the koi to fresh, well-aerated water.
For Humane Euthanasia (Only In Case of Severe Illness or Injury):
Dosage: 4 mL - 8 mL per liter of water.
Procedure: Prepare the solution and immerse the koi completely.
The koi will lose consciousness quickly and peacefully, followed by cessation of all vital signs.
